Job description
Ensure suppliers’ products meet all technical and design requirements stipulated in the contracts
Lead supplier quality management programs and processes (QA and QC)
Select and supervise inspectors from 3rd party service providers
Develop and implement inspection test plans (‘ITPs’) with internal stakeholders, drawing on international best practice.
Conduct routine and periodic assessment/audit of suppliers at the supplier’s facilities
Identify, analyse and resolve supplier quality issues (warranty claims, technical service information, defect notices etc.)
Assess, report, track and present supplier performance
Monitor project schedule/production plan
Requirements/Qualification:
Minimum 4-year full-time bachelor degree from reputable universities
Mechanical Engineering degree with a major metal fabrication or manufacturing from a reputable university
Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience with multinational companies, of which 5 years related to QA/QC application
Trained supplier and process auditor
Solid knowledge in advanced quality planning and execution
Good IT skills, including a solid knowledge of Microsoft products
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese
Open and transparent, able to address critical issues and have the skills to resolve conflict
Self-motivated, highly proactive with a resilient and ‘hands on’ attitude
Numerically apt
Able to travel national and potentially internationally (approx. 60% of time)
