Micron’s Taiwan sites include sales and technical support in Taipei along with state-of-the-art fabrication facilities in Taichung and Taoyuan that together comprise the company’s DRAM Center of Perfection. The Center’s goal is to achieve the most efficient and effective technology transfer and manufacturing ramp by combining front- and back-end manufacturing, product engineering and technology development roles.
Job description
As a quality auditor, you will be responsible for auditing all Micron’s suppliers or subcontractors. The suppliers provide Frontend and Backend materials to Micron while The subcontractors provide outsourcing services to Micron that include component assembly and packaging, electrical test, memory module assembly, and SSD assembly. You will be the primary interface with respect to driving QMS activities and will have a leadership role aligning these activities to Micron strategic objectives.
You will also be responsible for identifying critical Quality Systems or processes, measuring system performance, and initiating quality improvement projects or activities. You will analyze and report on data and metrics, and evaluate and propose solutions to address problems and improve performance. In this global role, you will work with personnel and leadership across multiple business units, worldwide operations, Process R and D, Sales, and all other departments of the company. You will also support other Quality teams to conduct audits, gap analysis, and corrective action implementation, or maintain ISO certifications. 30%-40% travel will be required.
Responsibilities
- Perform, plan and execute suppliers/subcontractors audits.
- Good follow up on corrective actions from audits.
- Track and summarize audit indicators for review and formulate recommended action plans to improve suppliers/subcontractor QMS.
Requirements:
- Ability to coordinate efficiently with subcontractors to plan, execute audits and follow-up
- Excellent problem solving, presentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently or in teams
- An in-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 AND ISO/TS 16949 requirements and its quality tools (FMEA, SPC, PPAP, APQP, MSA, 8D)
- Traveling is required
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Materials Science, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- 8+ years working in semiconductor assembly and/or memory module SSD manufacturing
- Attended Lead Assessor course in ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949 and quality tools (FMEA, SPC, PPAP, APQP, MSA, 8D)
- 3 to 5 years of work experience in QMS Audits (preferable experience in managing and maintaining quality management system) in semiconductor industry
- Fluent in written & spoken English & Chinese.
Working location: Preferably Fab 11 (Linkou, Taoyuan, Taiwan). Can discuss if need to locate at other Micron sites.
