Job Description
Siemens is creating its first UK based Rail Industry Hub on the outskirts of Goole in the East Riding of Yorkshire. With an initial contract to assemble nearly 50 trains to service the Piccadilly line on the London Underground we are starting to recruit up to 300 skilled technical and support colleagues at in our Manufacturing Facility. In the near future follow-on work is expected to bring this number of trains into the hundreds, along with an expansion on the site into maintenance and overhaul activities displaying a long-term commitment to the area and growth in employment and career opportunities. We are looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Control Manager with some commercial experience to ensure the Supplier Quality processes such as Goods Inwards Inspection, Non-Conformance Management, Rectification of damaged goods and Commercial claims are managed. As an experienced people manager, you will lead a small skilled team of Quality Goods inwards Inspectors for the site. Crucial in assessing any quality related issues and measuring the impacts to cost and delivery, this role will process supplier quality issues through our SAP system, initiating and undertaking root cause analysis, following up with processing the relevant claims against defective goods. You will be a key member of the Rapid Response Team, working with our wider manufacturing team to investigate issues, to aid with speedy resolutions of any production impacts.
