Eaton’s eMobility Division is currently seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Tualatin, Oregon facility. Position Overview: Functionally responsible for monitoring and measuring supplier performance and ensuring root cause and corrective actions are implemented for supplier non-conformities leading to customer escapes, internal rework/rejection and scrap. Develops process improvements and cost control programs throughout the plant. In this role, you will: Responsible for supplier management for daily operations including Investigation of quality issues and communicating to vendor the problem Use of 8D/Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) processes Negotiating and instructing reworks Part returns using in house Return Materials Authorization process (RMA) Defective Material Returns process (DMR or red tag) disposition of parts from the floor Supplier Improvement Activities Coaching vendors on investigations if needed Supplier visits (limited to US) occasionally to perform process reviews or FMEA’s Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) administration Representative for facility in supplier meetings/calls, including international contacts This role is an individual contributor and has no direct reports This role is expected to work independently without supervision Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution Minimum three (3) years’ experience in manufacturing Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
