Achieve a state of high quality performance at our Supplier partners and pursuing continuous quality improvement through the application of Quality Engineering practices on Philips products/parts/services procured from suppliers throughout the product lifecycle including sustaining change management.Bring your experience in quality engineering, manufacturing processes, product design and people leadership to this Supplier Quality Engineering role within Philips.Your challenge will be to guide a team of Supplier Quality Engineers and our Supplier Partners to always do the right thing. This involves being a confident advisor on engineering product quality management related topics, in order to achieve delivery of high quality and outstanding reliability products.

You are responsible for

  • Team Leadership of a group of Supplier Quality Engineers; providing day-to-day direction, advice and guidance.Assists in planning, coordinating activities and tracking performance of the team toward business goals.

  • Engineering analysis of product quality defects and problem solving with Suppliers using Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) and Six Sigma Quality Engineering tool-sets.

  • Planning and executing Supplier quality performance trending, reporting, improvement and development activities.

  • Assessing, approving and coordinating the qualification and implementation of Supplier Change Requests.

  • Auditing Supplier technical capabilities and verifying change effectiveness through on-site visits.

  • Participating in Design for Excellence reviews with Product Development and Suppliers.

  • Driving Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) development, execution, monitoring and control as part of sustaining product/process changes.

  • Conducting Supplier quality risk assessment and mitigation activities.

You are a part of

A collaborative and high performing global Supplier Quality Engineering team in the Philips Ultrasound Business Group where you will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with strong cross-functional collaboration while being exposed to challenging learning and growth opportunities.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • Previous leadership experience of engineering professionals as a manager, team lead or project lead.

  • 10+ years quality relevant work experience with medical device industry, automotive or other regulated industry experience being preferred.

  • Experience in quality engineering and process/manufacturing engineering.

  • Hands-on production technology experience in one or more of high-level electromechanical assembly and Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA).

  • Practical application of statistical methods, quality tools and methodologies (DfSS, CtQ, SPC, APQP, FMEA, MSA/GR&R, Control Plans). Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.

  • Lead quality auditor certification and experience preferred.

  • Working knowledge/experience in industry standard New Product Introduction processes.

  • Ability to travel up to 15% of time.
