Minimum qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in mechanical manufacturing processes, operations for surface decoration and quality control requirements.
- Experience in statistical processes, Cp, Cpk, GR&R, GD&T, measurement metrology, OMM, CMM, AOI, DFx, fixture design and qualification, cosmetic inspections methods, go/no-go gauges, measurement correlation.
- Ability to speak and write in English and Mandarin fluently and idiomatically.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience defining and measuring color, specifying and measuring surface finishes, creating cosmetic defect catalogs and establishing grading limits.
- Experience proposing data-driven DFx improvements.
- Experience driving improvements and cycle time reductions for high volume, high complexity parts with premium fits and finishes.
- Ability to collaborate with product design teams on drawing callouts using GD&T experience.
- Ability to take initiative and adapt quickly to changing priorities with great attention to detail, independently or within a team.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Design, Industrial Design, Project Management, Reliability and Product Operations to deliver Google Hardware products to market.
- Use statistical process control and yield studies to validate process capability, establish reasonable specifications and drive process improvements in partnership with Tooling and Manufacturing process engineers.
- Work with Reliability Engineering to set-up ongoing reliability test plans for manufacturing processes. Set up quality control plans, establish outgoing/incoming quality control processes, align on minimum standards of performance, ensure correlation between sites and track down root cause of measurement discrepancies in internal quality controls.
