Georgia-Pacific takes great pride in providing customers and consumers with quality products. Corporate Quality within the Consumer Products Division is a key contributor to assuring both GP Branded and Customer Branded products are produced and distributed with good manufacturing practices. Auditing facilities is one process within the Quality organization which provides assurance that best practices are being performed consistently.

Georgia-Pacific’s Consumer Products Division is hiring for a Supplier Quality Manager position to support quality management of contracted manufacturing and supplier facilities. The individual in this role will be responsible for performing audits and facilitating the audit process from scheduling through closure. The role will also support product launches and monitor quality of ongoing production. The ideal candidate will be self-driven; detail oriented; possesses excellent communication skills (oral and written) and have strong organizational skills.

This position is remote and must be based in China, preferably Eastern China or southern China.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

Provide support for quality services projects

Work in conjunction with cross-functional teams as the Quality Lead in the selection and qualification of external suppliers and the launch of new products.

Monitor supplier data and address quality issues (compliance and product related) at facilities for commercialized product

Conduct audits of contract manufacturers and suppliers for compliance to applicable cGMP regulations and GP quality requirements

Write concise audit reports documenting process and observations

Clearly communicate details of audit to supplier and GP personnel

Verify and document acceptance of corrective action plans from audits, complaints. or other non-conformances, providing guidance where needed to ensure effectiveness of corrective actions

Basic Qualifications:

3 – 5 years quality operations experience

3 – 5 years of auditing

Available to travel throughout Asia (China, Malaysia, Taiwan, Vietnam etc.)

Ability to travel 75% minimum

Fluent in Mandarin and English

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher

Knowledge or experience with GFSI - Global Food Safety Initiative/SQF – Safe

Quality Food Certifications

ASQ/CQA or similar Quality Certification

Experience in the areas of Paper Products, Plastics, Food Contact Products

Experience working within regulated industries is strongly preferred

Project Management experience

Greater than 5 years of auditing and quality operations experience
