Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience working in a technical environment, managing multi-group, multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Experience assessing and mitigating supply chain risks.
  • Experience with supplier social and environmental responsibility requirements.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 7 years of experience in supplier code of conduct audits.
  • Experience in environmental health and safety (EH&S) standards for construction and manufacturing.
  • Experience and interest in using technologies such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, virtual/augmented reality to drive change.
  • Experience quantifying and reducing direct and indirect environmental impacts. Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to conduct complex impact analysis with limited/imperfect data and use it to influence cross-functional business decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. You will engage with multiple customer groups, stakeholders, and suppliers to build a global supply chain sustainability program.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Responsible Supply Chain team to ensure suppliers adhere to Google’s Supplier Code of Conduct including activities such as the development and deployment of risk based training programs, conducting supplier risk assessments, engaging with business owners to seamlessly integrate supplier responsibility into core business practices.
  • Serve as the primary lead for designated product groups to support/drive their supplier responsibility activities.
  • Promotes the continuous improvement of Google’s risk-based approach to responsible chemical management within our supply chain.
  • Develop/Conduct supplier code of conduct assessment and corrective action plan training for Googlers and suppliers to ensure site assessment quality and consistency across all teams.
  • Manage Social and Environmental Vendor Site Assessments from start to finish, from planning to scheduling and corrective action plan resolution. Manage supplier incident response, including periodic after-hours on-call coverage.
