Summary:

Analyzes and coordinates a variety of processes which may include inventory, warehousing, logistics, transportation, import/export programs, and customer service to formulate and develop new or modified solutions to business issues affecting the supply chain function.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create processes and methods to gather supply chain data
• Regularly generate reports and track KPIs in order to analyze actual performance versus targeted performance
• Analyze data to identify problematic areas and serve as a consultant for process improvements
• Plan and implement supply chain optimization projects (e.g. warehouse-slotting, route planning, carrier performance)
• Develop requirements and standards (fulfillment, delivery, import/export compliance)
• Discover the most cost-effective shipping modes and schedules
• Evaluate vendor operations (e.g. freight forwarders) according to quality standards
• Help foster trusting relationships with business partners
• Collaborate with IT professionals to implement effective systems
• May have responsibility for inventory procedures

Qualifications:

• Ability to operate in the complex, matrixed environment.
• Requires strong leadership and teamwork skills
• Project management experience and strong organizational skills
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree preferred.  2 years relevant professional experience preferred.
