What you will do

We are looking for a supply chain professional who wants an opportunity to broaden their supply chain expertise within the pharmaceutical/biotech space in a dynamic, multinational environment. Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, this position is responsible for supporting the local supply chain team to ensure uninterrupted supply of commercial products. This is a part-time role (up to 18.75 hours a week), 12-month contract.  Flexible and remote working is an option for this role.  The position involves close teamwork with Supply chain, Quality, Finance, Commercial Teams and external providers to ensure Amgen's products are delivered to customers on time, in quality order, and cost effectively.

As part of a close-knit team, the role offers broad involvement across supply chain activities, including:

  • Maintain SAP inventory – expiry management, product destruction, reconcile with LSP month end close record

  • Plan and coordinate transfer of stock Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) within Australia.

  • Handle the continuous improvement program with Logistics Service Provider (LSP) partners to facilitate cost savings

  • Perform assigned tasks in annual physical stock count of commercial product

  • Generate and run Supply Chain reporting (sales, inventory stock on hand, inventory reconciliation)

  • Runs the monthly LSP (AU/NZ) Key Performance Indicators review meeting

  • Back-up planning and product ordering processes for commercial product for Australia and New Zealand as required

  • Primary contact with LSP (AU/NZ) on Customer Service issues – credits, debits, reverse logistics, general enquires, monitoring performance, invoice checking, etc

  • Customer Service Master Data, Account Management & Product Pricing with LSP. (AU/NZ)

  • Triage Customer Service issues with wholesalers, hospitals and pharmacies

  • Manages all Patient Familiarisation Programs between Amgen providers and LSP

  • Initiates and owns Temperature Excursion Reporting and non-conformance closure via Trackwise

  • Initiates and develops Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions with LSP (AU/NZ) partner relevant to commercial product supply

  • Assembles monthly supply chain metrics to JAPAC and global functions as requested

  • Provide functional back-up to affiliate supply chain team members during periods of absenteeism

  • Main point of contact as Packaging Covenant team member

  • Be aware of and work within company policies (Finance & HR BPPs) and industry (Medicines Australia & RMI) guidelines and apply Amgen Values in daily activities

  • Be aware and responsible for the health and safety of yourself and others and align with Amgen policies and practices in this area

  • Perform other functions and duties to support the overall success of the Supply Chain function

  • Proven Experience in supply chain, finance, logistics or similar field

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry

  • Good knowledge of GMP, GWP and GDP

  • Understanding of warehousing and distribution processes, preferably within pharmaceutical industry involving Cold Chain management

  • Understanding on the workings of a LSP (3PL) warehouse

  • Experience with product planning processes

  • Familiarity with ERP systems and experience with SAP

  • Basic numeracy and Excel skills

  • Provides support in analytics and process development

  • Quick process and systems understanding

  • Familiarity with WMS systems

  • Good presentation skills

  • Fluency in English, strong verbal and written communication

  • Work rights and residency in Australia required
