Job Description

The Supply Chain Engineer will be accountable for the development and implementation of equipment labor strategies that enable our Technology Development (TD) and Virtual Factory (VF) partners to meet aggressive and complex cost, capacity and factory velocity objectives. Close and regular collaboration with TD, VF, Equipment Suppliers, and across Supply Chain partners to determine the best mix of resources to support High Volume Factory start-up support, Equipment Development and evaluation, the exquisite performance of tool fleet across the VF, and provision of high quality and timely training for all of these aspects will be required. As such, considerations such as labor capacity, quality, and capability must be thoroughly understood.

Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for Partnering with the VF and Equipment Suppliers to support overall labor and capability strategies in a selected functional area and smooth labor fluctuations internally and with the Suppliers. The role will also require a sharp focus on supplier quality and cost improvements in supplier programs.

This role also requires some travel and flexible working hours to accommodate the business needs of factories and suppliers worldwide.


The Supply Chain Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Partners with FSM/TD, factory customers, and suppliers, influence and develop the labor Supply Chain and make improvements that lead to cost optimization and increased workforce capability in a selected functional area.

  • Works collaboratively with VF and suppliers to understand tool micro-schedules and reduce durations for tool installs.

  • Collaborates with factory experts to identify and implement systematic improvements in support of the safe and affordable installation, qualification, sustaining, and demo of equipment in a selected functional area.

  • Support site-level ramp readiness/risk assessments, supplier summits, supplier report cards, and quality issue resolution related to service and training.

  • Drives appropriate mitigation plans with suppliers. Assist in supplier I/Q, sustaining, and demo-related escalation resolution and mitigation.

  • Represents supplier service and training optimization strategies in commercial tier management reviews, commercial negotiations, cost analysis, and equipment selections.

  • Content experts on all key aspects of Equipment Supplier Labor for a given supplier, module, and/or toolset.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Position not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related business field of study.

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, TD or Factory or working directly with TD and/or factory customers.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
