Supply Chain Excellence Project Manager

As our new Supply Chain Excellence Project Manager you will drive the Supply Chain improvement agenda by leading or governing a broad range of tactical and strategic projects across the full Market Supply Chain. This will be in the following functional areas: Physical Logistics, SC Quality, SC Customer collaboration, Masterdata, Demand Planning & Activity Management and SC digitalization.

The job owner owns the process of idea generation and behaves as a consultant for creating the agenda for the optimization of current processes and the transformation towards future end-to-end supply chain processes. This by evaluation of the potential of the Ideas, elaboration of implementation options and project management of the implementation of the optimizations/innovations. This includes the successful deployment of regional and global innovations in the NL/ITR market which are part of regional and global programs.

You will be a sparring partner to the Market Logistics Director to set the direction for the Supply Chain function for NL ITR (International Travel Retail) market by scanning external trends and internal developments.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop ideas for improving future logistical performance from the End-to-end perspective and develop possible scenarios to translate these ideas into Mars practice. This In close collaboration with the local and regional leaders of the different SC processes.
  • Be a sparring partner for the Logistics Director & the S&OP+ Director and co-develop a strategy for Supply Chain of the future for NL & ITR market and translate that into improvement projects.
  • Drive Supply Chain optimization & transformation agenda for NL & ITR market.
  • Lead the implementation of improvement & transformational projects and/or coordinate improvement projectsthem (PMO role) in the logistics area and related departments.
  • Replace Logistics Director (including full responsibility and accountability) when absent, including S&OP+ steps (e.g. SCMR owner, MBR participant representing full Supply Chain).
  • Projects can range from implementing new Quality Framework (deployment from Corporate Q&FS) to leading a third-party logistics tender (e.g. warehouse and transport) to developing a framework for future Supply Chain capabilities & competencies to improving co-pack processes.
  • Monitor global and regional Supply Chain improvement & transformation agenda and own projects and the implementation/deployment of them in the NL & ITR market.
  • Advice to internal and external stakeholders on generating added value through end-to-end supply chain thinking
  • Competition, research and market observation, scouting in the logistics sector

  

What are we looking for?

Education & Professional Qualifications

  • University Degree (in Supply Chain)
  • Ideally Lean/Six Sigma or Problem Solving methods
  • Excellent written and oral skills in English

 

Knowledge/Experience                

  • Ideally at minimum 8 years of experience in the field of supply chain management / logistics or sales
  • Fluent English, both written and verbal
  • Project & process management
  • Leadership of cross-functional teams and stakeholder management
