Job Description
Eaton Corporation in Glenolden, PA is part of the Aerospace Group, Fluid and Electrical Distribution (FED) Division, situated just outside of Philadelphia, PA. Our plant manufactures a complete line of condition monitoring and accessory products for lubrication, hydraulic, chemical process and refrigerant systems, in gas turbine engines, transmissions, gear boxes and other fluid containing systems for transportation, power generation, mobile equipment, mining and manufacturing markets. We have an exciting and challenging opening for a Drexel University Co-op program participant reporting directly to the site’s Supply Chain Manager. The sites supply chain department handles $15 million+ worth of supplier spend, with shipments totaling upwards of $60 million in 2022. The department also handles the coordination of key business data such as sales forecast, inventory, and capacity planning. The site is forecasting a business growth phase which is expected to continue for the next several years. In the supply chain analyst role, the participant will have responsibility for: Implementing continuous improvement initiatives into the supply chain to support growth initiatives. This will incorporate developing work instructions and troubleshooting guides for key functions within our materials department. Working cross-functionally with engineering and production to further mitigate our electronic obsolescence risk Thinking creatively to develop an enhanced and error-proofed system for our shipment labeling process within our packaging department as well as many other opportunities to gain experience within the supply chain such as procurement, demand planning, production planning, advanced replenishment purchasing opportunities and cost savings projects. The participant will also learn the various areas of the plants supply chain functions and develop plans to improve utilization and efficiency throughout. The participant will collaborate cross-functionally with all departments of the plant, including engineering, quality, production, and customer service. Through participation in this position, Eaton feels it will provide a good opportunity to understand the interrelationship between the current aerospace market environment and the business, as well as the interaction between the functions inside the manufacturing plant. Qualifications Basic Qualifications Actively enrolled in a Business degree program. Minimum overall cumulative GPA 2.8 or higher (please do not round) Must be able to do a minimum five (5) month rotation which starts 04/04/2023 through to 09/15/2023. Relocation is not being offered for this position, candidate must reside/attend school within 50 miles of Glenolden PA. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship on an ongoing basis.
