Job Description

Scope of Role

  • This position is a supply chain management role with the focus more on but not limited to project management, process improvement and supply chain operation support.
  • Liaising with different tiers in Amgen operations and supply network, to ensure alignment between supply strategy and China filing and launch strategy.
  • Managing supply chain projects and initiatives in coordination with cross-functional teams.
  • Serving as a point of contact for supply chain to ensure internal/external team actions are in synergy to support supply chain daily operation and company business continuity.

List of Tasks

  • Developing and executing supply strategy in alignment with filing strategy and timeline. Managing supply chain processes in collaboration with regulatory, CMC counterparts and Supply Chain functional lines.
  • Establishing supply chain project management capability for Amgen China to support its business activities and daily operations e.g. IBP, Planning, Logistics, Tech & Product Transfer etc.
  • Assisting in the definition of project scope and goals, creating short-mid-long term plans, including setting targets and deliverables for milestones, adhering to deadlines and optimizing resources.
  • Identifying and managing potential risks and liabilities of multiple projects, motivating people involved in the project to complete tasks on time.
  • Developing solution options and making effective decisions, communicating with internal and external functions to keep projects aligned with their goals.
  • Developing project dashboard and visualization tools, performing quality control on projects and other assignments to maintain the standards expected.
  • Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Developing and maintaining Standard Operation Procedures or other form of work instructions.
  • Owner of CC/NC/CAPA and overseeing corrective/preventative action.
  • Continuous Improvement (Quality, Time, Cost)

Knowledge and Skills

  • GMP/GSP Knowledge
  • Knowledge of Healthcare/Pharmaceutical industry
  • Knowledge of supply chain & project management methodologies and practices.
  • Knowledge in China regulations and practices of drug filing and supply

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA or similar is preferred
  • 5-7+ years’ experience in supply chain and project management, preferred with major pharmaceutical companies. Regulatory experience is a plus
  • PMP, CPIM certification is a plus
  • Native in Chinese, fluent in English, excellent written and verbal communication skills
