Do you want to contribute to the future of healthcare? Siemens Healthineers are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join their Healthcare Diagnostics business based at our site in Sudbury, Suffolk. Recently celebrating 80 years of manufacturing excellence, our Sudbury site designs and assembles blood, urine and diabetes analysis instruments. You will join our Materials team and be responsible for helping implement world class processes within the POC (Point Of Care) business. This is a hands-on role that involves running our supply and inventory planning process for our medical devices as well as leading a high performing team in Sudbury. As part of the Siemens Healthineers the POC business area helps enable better care to patients with chronic diseases or in life-threatening conditions by providing fast and reliable information that help diagnosis. The Sudbury site manufactures and delivers worldwide medical devices and consumables used for POC-testing therefore being pivotal to the success of the POC business unit. Responsibilities Support the site Supply Planning Managers with day-to-day needs Development of POC capacity & production planning tools, metrics & procedures, preferably utilising SAP Review and improve current processes, procedures & tools used for everyday planning Set criteria to highlight material supply/production planning issues / bottlenecks / propose and drive solutions to maximise product availability Monitor and drive plant performance in line with plans Deliver the company’s raw materials/WIP & finished goods inventory holding target Prepare KPI reports and communicate performance to suppliers/business & stakeholders Accountable for the execution of the Sudbury planning process for the related product lines by leading a supply chain team, setting clear goals and helping build an environment of trust, engagement and respect Review current MPS process and implement improvements, supporting supply planning managers when needed, to deliver against the agreed S&OP Develop raw material inventory management strategies to ensure uninterrupted supply to the Sudbury operation as well as optimising stock levels to meet financial targets Development and ownership of all related supply chain metrics within assigned areas of responsibility in support of the plant’s balanced scorecard Support material planners with supplier escalations as required Build relations with supplier base, holding supplier review meetings focusing and delivery performance and quality of product delivered General Improve and set the standard for the supply chain skill set of the team, as well as help form the future leaders of the organisation through developing people, coaching, hiring, managing performance, providing training and leading by example Support the global planning team in ensuring SAP reflects realistic planning requirements that drive the whole supply chain, finding ways to improve the use of the tool for improved planning process, seeking automation where possible Design and roll out appropriate KPI’s and quality controls to the planning process and be able to communicate with confidence about the deviations to targets Constantly question current practices seeking to identify process improvement opportunities and implementing process changes with management and Healthineers Performance System support If invited to, participate as an effective Extended Leadership Team member, taking a leading role in team meetings and problem solving Manage all planning procedures and documents, carrying out annual reviews and making amendments when necessary Ability to identify, investigate and effectively close out CAPA’s utilising the Catsweb tool Skills and Experience Great leadership and influencing skills Must have Supply Chain experience ideally with Pharma or Medical Device environment Thorough understanding of MRP dynamics and must have extensive knowledge of SAP Strong communication skills, able to communicate at all levels of the business Ability to work under pressure Ability to drive change and deliver projects, initiatives and process improvements Good understanding of the Lean manufacturing concepts and tools Broad knowledge of forecasting, product distribution, inventory control and manufacturing processes Minimum of bachelor degree, master degree in related field preferred Certification of a professional body associated with planning preferred Being part of our team: Based on multiple sites in Chilton Industrial Estate, Sudbury, we design and assemble blood, urine and diabetes analysis instruments.
