Devices Supply Chain Manager – EMEA Sales & Operations Execution Team

We have a vacancy in our Dublin based Sales & Operations Execution Team. This team is responsible for forecasting the Sell in and Sell thru unit and revenue plans of Microsoft devices and accessories across the Surface and XBOX lines of Business, collaborating with global supply planning on supportability of the demand plan as well as optimizing inventory planning to align with the product roadmap launch and EOL plan of record.
This position will primarily engage with regional and global supply chain functions, subsidiary category and finance teams to ensure the demand signal is captured, refined and accurately reflected in our planning systems. This position will report to the Regional leader for Channel Sales & Operations Execution.
Success in this position means quarterly forecast attainment is within +/-10% of the demand plan, optimum supply is positioned to meet the demand forecast and revenue and gross margin targets are achieved.
Ideally the individual will have proven business results from working in any of the following areas, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Sales & Operations Planning, Finance or Data analytics. While experience in these areas would be ideal it is not a mandatory requirement.
More importantly, the successful candidate has a strong analytical skill set, a passion for learning, a desire to innovate and improve processes and is a strong collaborator and team player.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
• Ownership of segment level demand planning to create robust medium and long term forecasts, enabling the business to achieve the highest potential forecast accuracy across all associated product lines
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with Sales & Operations, Supply Planning, Marketing and Segment teams.
• Provide clear reporting insights on demand trends and analytics which include sku-level attainment and forecast accuracy; providing recommendations to Category Marketing and Supply Chain teams in a timely and effective manner to minimize / eliminate E&O exposure to the business and to enable sales to meet and beat their targets.
• Work with Channel Ops and Category Marketing teams on the timing and availability of new products for inclusion in the demand forecasts
• Engage with Supply team to identify any impact to supportable demand and partner with Channel Operations Managers to provide demand shaping recommendations, and drive alignment of these activities with key internal business partners
• Process Management: Continuously improve demand signal process. Document and define end-to-end process improvement across functions, systems and stakeholders.
Qualifications
• Ideally some experience in planning or modeling sales forecasts across segments (Retail, B2B, B2C or Direct).
• Strong understanding of Sales & Operations Planning elements and process.
• Knowledge of predictive modelling, machine learning to develop a suggested demand plan.
• Proven track record in delivering change, process improvement, and root cause analytics
• Leadership of cross functional projects including setting scope, reaching consensus, execution, and presenting results.
• Experience in delivering results across functions and geographies within a matrix environment.
• In depth knowledge of MS Office Applications, including advanced knowledge of Excel

• Strong process/system background and proven capability to rapidly understand, use and drive improvements in new processes/systems

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree
• BS/MS in business, supply chain, operations management, economics or engineering preferred
• MBA in Finance or Supply Chain management a plus
