Job Description
Eaton’s Aerospace division is currently seeking Supply Chain Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Tijuana Facility The Supply Chain Manager is responsible to manage the flow of materials into the facility, through the facility and outbound, in a way that maximizes on-time delivery while minimizing inventory and logistics cost. This is accomplished by using standard processes and tools that are prescribed in the Aerospace Materials Strategy. All of this work will be performed in and through the MFG/PRO MRP system. The SCM will ensure that these functions are deployed in alignment with the Aerospace Materials Strategy. He/she will actively participate in the Materials Management Assessment (MMA) process. This will drive continuous improvement activities at his/her site and facilitate organizational development. The holder of this position will be responsible to drive the launch of systems, tools, and prescribed processes supported by the Global and Divisional Materials teams. Some activities related with the position will be: Create, communicate, and build consensus for a strategic vision for MFG/PRO and maintenance across the site. Utilize systematic processes (e.g. ERP Health Monitor) to monitor materials management operating compliance and performance. Continuously improve key performance indicators applicable to Materials Management, such as On-time Delivery, Past Due, Days on Hand, Excess and Obsoletes. Remove barriers that negatively affect such indicators.. Drives communication and information dissemination on improvement opportunities, lean initiatives and facilitates ongoing performance feedback to operational supply chain management and employees. Drives alignment with divisions and corporate SCM staff regarding projects, processes, and initiatives. Defines process improvement opportunities within area of responsibility through gaining advanced understanding of operational material demand requirements and working with material planners and buyers to optimize materials and service flow. Monitors the performance of core service providers to ensure compliance and alignment with customer requirements and contractual obligations. Drives a sustainable atmosphere of cooperative collaboration and alignment between area of responsibility, the manufacturing operations, service providers, and customers through ongoing communications and sharing of ideas for continuous process improvements. Directs coordination activities to areas and projects of greatest strategic value as defined in the project charters. Provide guidance and leadership to manufacturing operations and service providers towards developing innovative or “Best Practice” solutions to supply chain problems. Participate in industry benchmarking to gauge the effectiveness of current Eaton processes and to evaluate, adapt and implement the best practices of industry leadership. Drives continuous improvement in process and personnel through the development and administration of a relevant skills enhancement (training) program. As a senior leader, this position requires an effective deployment of the Eaton Leadership model. The Supply Chain Manager must be an effective leader with skills at developing individuals and teams, setting goals and holding people accountable, leveraging resources, effective communication, building organizational capability, and professional presence. Champion the SIOP process for the site per the Aerospace Policy, working in cooperation with the Division Materials team. This includes leading/participating in the demand forecast, supply response (capacity and inventory), consensus building, executive sponsorship, and attainment steps. The position is member of the executive SIOP team. Deploy and maintain inventory replenishment plan(s) and Min./Max. that optimize service level, inventory levels, and logistics cost. Participate in regional inventory forecasting and follow-up processes. Effectively optimize Inventory levels and ensure inventory accuracy. Principal responsible for quarterly and annual Physical Inventories and cycle counts. Deploy sustainable Shop-floor processes that facilitate the efficient and economical flow of material and support ERP Health (accuracy, repeatability, etc.). These processes include Receiving, Warehousing, Materials Movement (physical and transactional), Shipment, and Inventory Record Accuracy (cycle counting, BOM and Routing Audits). Processes will be launched in compliance with the Aerospace Materials Strategy. Actively support upcoming new product introductions from the materials perspective and product transitions from other EATON facilities, ensuring a smooth ramp up and positive customer experience. This includes packaging and external logistics agreements. #LI-MM3 Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Required bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years of supply chain experience. MBA or master’s degree highly desirable. CPIM Certified desirable. Preferred Qualifications: Excellent communicate, customer service, and interpersonal skills necessary to converse with diverse group of stakeholders including senior management, operations and Supply Chain Management personnel. Demonstrated experience in successfully deploying commodity strategies and driving cost-out. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in the development, implementation, and achievement of results through cross-functional business initiatives and commodity strategies. Managerial and collaborative skills are necessary to achieve and meet SCM and customer requirements and to gain the support needed to move projects and initiatives forward. Strong analytical problem-solving abilities are necessary to understand operational inefficiencies and separate/resolve legitimate supplier performance issues.
