Position Overview: The Materials Planning & Logistics Manager (MPLM) will report directly to the Carol Stream Plant Manager – Royal Power Solutions for Eaton’s Vehicle Group and is responsible for shipping & receiving department, production scheduler(s), material replenishment and customer service team. The individual in this role will lead several teams and individuals in these operational functions and possess strong leadership, communication and organization skills while providing training and compliance specific to their area of responsibility. MPLM shall manage KPI’s, operational strategy, work standardization and cross training while supporting continuous improvement activities as part of day-to-day work requirements. This position is based out of the Carol Stream, IL manufacturing facility. In this function you will: At all times, follows and enforces safety protocol, including use of PPE (personal protection equipment) and maintaining the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. Capable and familiar to perform all duties and responsibilities required of their team members after 6 months if needed on a temporary/emergency basis, as well as: Ensure training for new employees and revised practices and/or periodic re-certification of existing employees Establish and periodically review goals and performance objectives with team members Refine Material Production Scheduling/Planning System to meet customer demand while managing operational and capacity constraints Drive sales goals of the manufacturing plant-manage product additions and deletions, including coordination of all expediting activities Utilize root cause analysis and basic problem-solving skills to drive continuous improvement in processes and metrics Lead and direct the material planning team to balance the demand as driven by Material Requirements Planning (MRP), shop floor capacity and customer sales orders Improve automated processes to maximize the flow of information and material in support of plant manufacturing goals Identify methods and processes to improve velocity of material moving through the plant Plan, direct and coordinate a staff of Master Production Schedulers and Material Planners to ensure goals are met or exceeded Assists in expediting material, where required, to meet shortfall between current plan and customer order requirements Analyzes data, including enterprise requirements planning information and prepares consolidated managerial reports as needed to facilitate and recommend actions to ensure plant/product line optimal supply chain execution Maintain good working relationships with customers (internal and external). Ensure the cycle counting process is fully deployed and that action plans are developed, and root causes of issues are resolved to achieve acceptable inventory accuracy (98+%). Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. Minimum five (5) years’ work experience in supply chain within a manufacturing environment Minimum one (1) year of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering from an accredited institution Master’s Degree from an accredited university APICS or ISM Certification Previous logistics and Materials Management experience within a manufacturing environment We provide benefits that are industry competitive and focused on employee well-being.
