Eaton is seeking a Supply Chain Manager for its Electrical Sector in the Industrial Control Division. The Supply Chain Manager will be located in Juarez, Mexico and is the primary lead for managing the flow of materials into the facility, through the facility and outbound, in a way that maximizes on-time delivery while minimizing inventory and logistics cost. The Supply Chain Manager will lead and drive the deployment of SCM strategic initiatives to manage the flow of materials across the value stream into the facility, through the facility and outbound, in a way that maximizes on-time delivery while minimizing inventory and logistics cost. This needs to be accomplished by using standard processes and tools that are prescribed in OpA, MMA EBS, ESSG Materials Strategy. All of this work will be performed in and through the ERP system. The Supply Chain Manager will drive root cause and continuous improvement activities as part of daily process, and facilitate their team’s organizational development. You will manage and oversee the procurement of all goods, supplies, and services to support the production cycle time requirements of the plant. You will maintain continuous knowledge of company sales & market trends of products manufactured at the plant to determine current inventory volumes and future materials and inventory needs. You will lead the SIOP process for the plant and maintain continuous knowledge of sales, demand, capacity, and inventory to achieve OTD, inventory, and productivity goals. You will develop and maintain effective contacts and working relationships with key suppliers. You will plan and manage the preparation and communication of product specifications for bid and manage negotiations with the most favorable prices, quality, delivery time, etc. You will manage and coordinate quality audit programs for new and existing suppliers You will lead sourcing responsibilities, including supplier selection, supplier management, negotiation, days payable, and resourcing initiatives. You will ensure material availability to support business OTD goals, including supplier forecasting, capacity planning, lead times, and supply chain continuity planning. You will develop and manage automated information systems to plan, monitor, and coordinate on-going inventory levels to provide maximum support for the production needs of the plant. You will plan, recommend, justify, and manage annual operating budgets and financial targets in accordance with known operational needs, strategies, and objectives. You will plan and manage training, instruction, and guidance to all subordinate supervisory and other employees to ensure their knowledge of proper equipment and use of accepted work processes and standards. You will remain knowledgeable of required personnel-related policies and procedures of the company; monitor and correct employee actions of behavior to ensure adherence with required policies, procedures, systems, and rules. You will use the continuous improvement framework, lean concepts, and problem solving tools to design and improve the performance of the extended supply chain function, including supplier performance, materials management, and logistics. You will develop and support the key initiatives of the plant, supply chain function, division, and Eaton overall. You will lead the material cost out initiatives for the facility, including identifying and leading deck building events with suppliers and Eaton teams. #LI-MM3 Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution Minimum of 3 years supply chain management experience Experience with manufacturing facilities Must be Bi-lingual (English & Spanish) Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in supply chain management or related field APICS CPIM or related supply chain professional certifications Position Criteria: Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills to converse with diverse group of stakeholders including senior management, operations and Supply Chain Management personnel. Strong ERP system skills Whole-to-part thinking Demonstrated experience in successfully deploying commodity strategies and driving cost-out. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in the development, implementation, and achievement of results through cross-functional business initiatives and commodity strategies. Managerial and collaborative skills are necessary to achieve and meet SCM and customer requirements and to gain the support needed to move projects and initiatives forward. Strong analytical problem-solving abilities are necessary to understand operational inefficiencies and separate/resolve legitimate supplier performance issues. Sound knowledge of lean theory, deployment and metrics are essential. Sound knowledge of global service / material modes, capabilities and practices are essential. Strong financial knowledge and business understanding to drive supply chain objectives in support of business goals.
