Responsibilities

  • The Microsoft Devices Supply Chain is hiring a Supply Chain Manager to own the execution of weekly and monthly performance metric reviews while playing an integral role to Supply Chain Planning. This includes providing visibility and key insights to the leading indicators of supply chain health and inventory performance.
  • This is a wide-ranging role with meaningful autonomy to generate impact across the Supply Chain. You will be responsible for driving the strategies, actions and processes necessary to ensure inventory productivity across all stages of lifecycle, demand predictability and integrity of controls. Working collaboratively with a stakeholder community across Finance, Product Supply, S&OP, Channel, Fulfillment, Logistics, and Raw Materials and Reverse SC Planning.
  • This global role will facilitate the development, communication, and execution of end-to-end supply chain processes that drive inventory productivity across the entire Devices portfolio.
  • This includes the operationalization and performance measuring of the critical, crossfunctional Supply Chain KPIs, developing annual targets while guiding the actions needed to achieve improvements vs. prior year while supporting considerable business growth.
  • This role will also help drive the requirements and business adoption for future system functionalities, Operating and Fulfillment Model capabilities and developing new reporting tools to improve supply chain visibility, predictability and accuracy, through the implementation and adoption of new capabilities while managing a balanced set of metrics to measure impact.
  • The ability to solve complex problems, work cross-functionally, and create clarity from complexity is a must! You will have the opportunity to help drive strategic initiatives that will lead to inventory optimization capabilities through machine learning and data science applications.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have proven skills/proficiency in:

  • Ability to work in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong ability to work with Data
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, knowledge of statistical optimization and time-series modeling
  • High sense of ownership and drive for closure with a persistent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication including written and verbal presentation to senior level audience
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong critical thinking and ability to drive resolution in ambiguous situations
  • Understanding of P&Ls and inputs that impact P&Ls
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across disciplines in an effective manner
  • Detail-oriented and thorough - willingness to dig deeply into situational details to ensure that the best decisions possible are made
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and deal effectively with conflicting priorities and change

Business & Professional Experience

  • Strong knowledge of supply chain with 5+ years of prior experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, procurement, manufacturing operations, or a related field? 
  • Strong process/system background and proven ability to rapidly understand, use and drive improvements in new processes/system
  • Bachelor’s degree required (BS/MS in supply chain, operations management, math/economics or engineering desired), Master's in supply chain management a plus.
