The mission objective of the Supply Chain Planner is to ensure the effective alignment of Greater China demand and supply plans with in-region and global supply chain operations capabilities.
The planner supports the continued growth of L Brands International into the Greater China region by planning, executing and analyzing the flow of lingerie, apparel, accessory and beauty articles through the Lbrands global supply chain network to the China store and digital channels. The planner is responsible for the following:
For China beauty production, the position is responsible for the timely and accurate flow of components into filler factories and finished goods into Lbrands China distribution facilities.
For logistics planning, the position works closely with the China brand allocation team to project inventory flow across all categories into and out of Greater China distribution facilities. The inventory flow plans are used to inform resource budgeting and planning processes for store and logistics operations.
For network analysis, the planner analyzes inventory productivity by node and sales channel and provides recommendations for improvement opportunities.
Mission Critical Activities:
Partner with the Mast Beauty & Home operations and US-based Supply Chain Planning & Analytics teams to plan and execute the flow of beauty components from Mast China distribution facilities to China fillers. Includes the load building of shipments and the coordination of logistics with Mast and 3rd party partners.
Plan and execute the timely flow of finished goods from China beauty fillers to Mast distribution facilities. The planner is responsible to load build shipments and ensure that the filler and Mast logistics properly execute the physical and systemic movement of the goods.
Create, analyze, publish, and manage inventory flow projection plans that support resource planning (labor, space and expenses), spanning from China distribution centers to the store and digital channels. The planner’s projection is used as an input into the end-to-end China inventory flow projection published by the US-based Supply Chain Planning & Analytics team.
Develop content and facilitate the weekly China Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meeting in China that ensures China Mast Logistics and China brand partners are properly aligned and supply properly flows to meet Greater China store demand.
Develop, monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) of cost, service and inventory productivity. Support and facilitate continuous improvement of performance.
Value Creation Activities:
Support China supply chain projects, such as store/country expansion, supply chain network design and standard operating procedures
Develop “what-if” end-to-end supply chain scenarios to model and analyze inventory cost/service improvements
Build analysis tools and processes that improve current state and expand the influence of supply chain planning
Qualifications:
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or engineering
Five to eight years of inventory management or distribution management experience in high volume, fast paced seasonal or heavily promoted businesses (retail or consumer goods)
Understanding of logistics operations, warehousing and transportation, between supply nodes in China
Bilingual in English and Mandarin
Experience working with international companies that operate global supply chains
Ability to work independently and solve problems in a matrixed organization
Confident and capable managing, analyzing and providing insights using inventory and distribution data
A supply chain professional that desires to progress their career
An individual with a passion for supply chain improvement
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated success working with and influencing team members to achieve goals
Expertise using Microsoft Excel working with large data sets, building formulas and building pivot tables
Preferred, but not required qualifications:
Knowledge of SAP R/3, SAP Business Objects or similar applications
VBA and/or SQL programing experience
Experience communicating supply chain analytics and recommendations using Microsoft PowerPoint and/or Tableau
Familiar with Microsoft Access, such as importing data and designing queries
