Eaton Mission Systems, formally Cobham Mission Systems, is seeking a Supply Chain Program Manager at our growing Orchard Park, NY facility. This is a hybrid-remote role (2 days from home per week). Sponsorship is not available! The Orchard Park facility has approximately 400 employees and is a leader in the design, manufacture, and test of high precision Aerospace components. Position Overview: Coordinate and execute supply chain operational activities to hit cost out and other financial targets as well as collaborate with the supply chain team to consolidate the supply base for all direct spend in relation to commodities under this position purview. Technical commodities include, but not limited to, gauges, cylinders, burst discs, filters, etc. They will support supply chain activities across Integrated Product Teams (IPT) to ensure North American (NA) strategic direction is sustained, supplier performance is improved, and risk is mitigated. In this function you will: Develop cost out opportunities in collaboration with the IPT and supply chain team that are backed with action plans, total cost of ownership (TCO), and aligned with NA strategic direction. Analyze and manage inventory levels and other related financial metrics to ensure financials goals are developed and consistently met. Negotiate supplier agreements to support effective purchasing practices that reduce cost, lead times, and risk that support the IPT needs. Coordinate with the Eaton commodity leads for the onboarding of suppliers to ensure proper handoff to the Tactical Supply Chain team for order management. Onboarding is inclusive of (but not limited to) part qualification and/or requalification/supplier qualification, supplier assessment and approval, terms and conditions review, and necessary supplier development/training to support unique Eaton sourcing requirements. Alignment with IPTs to become aware of products manufactured, sales growth/reduction plans, new product development, industry/markets the IPT serves, and supply chain pain points in order to define supply chain program managers improvement actions. Creation of individual supplier action plans based on core competencies, centers of excellence, supplier maturity levels, and supplier risk assessment that provides clear understanding long-term sourcing plans for all key suppliers. Communicate all aspects of supplier action plans efficiently and effectively via written and verbal communication to inform, influence, and engage with critical stakeholders across the business. Be “technologists” in the products and parts they support and remain current on technological advances relative to their IPTs. Coordinate with the design engineering community during development activities to aid in the creation of products, which can be readily sourced from the existing supply base. Provide assessment and guidance to the Tactical Supply Chain team on which suppliers to RFQ that are aligned with core competencies. Support the evaluation of supplier proposals with the Tactical Supply Chain team in order to provide the team with complete sourcing decisions. Continuously support supplier risk assessment utilizing various methods of research and internal tools to summarize and communicate to the entire organization. Manage key supplier performance though the use of supplier performance management tools (scorecards, supplier improvement plans, QBRs, etc.) to ensure KPI goals are understood and any deviation from KPI goals have a clear understanding of root cause and action plan in place from supplier to meet goals in the future. Assist the Tactical Supply Chain team of issue resolution if issues are escalated to the Supply Chain Program Manager. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. “Green Card Holder”), Political Asylee or Refugee. No relocation will be offered for this position. Only candidates who reside within a 50 mile radius of the Orchard Park, NY facility will be considered for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain and Logistics or Financial Management 3+ years procurement experience within a technology company (ideally aerospace & defense related) with substantial experience in consolidation of supply base and reducing tail spend. Experience in negotiating long term complex supplier agreements and managing supplier performance. Technical knowledge of products being procured along with knowledge of product marketplace. Experience developing business cases, with strong financial backing, to underpin specific investment and change projects. Experience working with P & L statements, balance sheets, inventory/accounting standards, and other financial statements and analyses. Supplier Relationship management experience. Able to work to financial and time constraints across multiple IPTs. ERP and Microsoft Office Suite proficiency to manage and analyze various procurement data. Proven experience in consolidating the supply base for a high mix/low volume aerospace and defense manufacturer Excellent leadership and development skills to drive success of team Excellent interpersonal skills in communication, motivation, and persuasion Skilled facilitator and mediator in resolving conflicts Commercially and contractually aware Ability to balance task, team, and individual needs in achieving goals Able to illustrate corporate “global” view with senior stakeholders We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
