Position Overview
JOB CONTENT (PRIMARY & SECONDARY):
Primary Functions
1) Making presentations to potential customers
2) Provide training to sales and branch personnel
3) Implementation of Supply Chain Solutions
4) Regular (at least monthly) meetings with Sales VP/Director/Manager to discuss on issues, focus customers, visit and training plans.
Secondary Functions
5) Coordinate & Project manage non-customer Supply Chain initiatives as and when directed by Senior Management of the company.
CREDENTIALS:
QUALIFICATIONS
A degree or HND equivalent diploma (e.g. Polytechnic) in technical or management discipline.
An MBA will be of significant advantage.
EXPERIENCE
Must have at least 3 years experience either as a Materials Manager in an electronics manufacturing organization, or have 5 years hands-on materials management systems implementation experience.
Have excellent working knowledge of Materials Management & Supply Chain Management.
COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Attributes)
Exposure to a consultative selling environment (e.g. having advocated and implemented a vendor reduction and vendor managed inventory program).
Presentation and persuasion skills should be highly developed.
Must exude a confidence to be able to communicate comfortably with all levels of internal and customer management levels.
Must be willing to travel more than 50% of the time.
KEY CHALLENGES (CURRENT & FUTURE):
The ambivalence of role as FIRST program champion to coach and gain mindshare of a diversified sales force with varying abilities to recognize value of the FIRST program. Success of this program however depends on the opportunities brought up by the sales force as well as positioning with customers.
