Job Description

Intel's business is growing quickly across multiple areas of business in electronics grade materials. The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for 1) cross-organizational leadership of supplier engagements for strategic Fab Materials Organization (FMO) suppliers and 2) Commercial Strategy Creation, Leadership, and Program Management across FMO. Decoupled from the operations of day-to-day supplier management operations, the Strategic Account Manager will create long-term supplier strategy to be implemented across all areas of supplier business. Research activity may include consortium influencing and/or creation, regional sourcing 10 year+ strategy development, and business continuity planning associated with long-term threats in the global ecosystem.

As the Supply Chain Strategic Account Manager, you will be responsible for but not limited to: 

  • Creating commercial best-known methods and processes for Strategic Sourcing Plans, Negotiation Plans, Executive Review Meetings, Organizational Contract Strategy and Optimization, and other common commercial practices. This individual will lead forums managing these new processes across the Fab Materials Organization.

  • Leading and mentoring the Fab Materials CM Community on processes, best-known methods, and world-class commercial process standardization.

  • Coordinating long-term technical and commercial strategy for key suppliers across the entire Intel business portfolio. This will require a wide breadth of engagement across multiple technical areas and coordinating activities with technical area support staff.

  • Driving strategic level supplier engagements at leadership levels.

  • Maintaining supplier market intelligence and internal documentation for executive interface.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. *This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must possess at least one of the following degrees plus the years of experience determined for each degree in the areas specified below:  

  • Master's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field of study with 6+ years of experience in Supply Chain. A Master's degree or above in a technical field will be considered in cases where other experience matches the scope (supply chain) closely.

  • Bachelor's degree within Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field of study with 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain. A Bachelor's degree in a technical field will be considered in cases where other experience matches the scope (supply chain) closely.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Commercial Supply Chain strategy, strategic negotiations, and Global Supplier management.

  • Experience with electronics grade chemical and gas industry.

  • Experience managing quality, reliability, yield, and cost of critical electronics grade material suppliers.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
