This is a dynamic, high-visibility role that will be intimately involved in both developing and executing Siemens Healthineers’ Laboratory Diagnostics supply chain strategy. As such, the successful candidate will have a proven track record in both developing strategic options and performing data-driven analyses to support them, as well as driving implementation of projects in order to realize a strategic vision. Given the increasing complexity of supply chains around the world, and our own diverse portfolio and broad physical footprint, we are undertaking an aggressive transformation effort to both improve our cost position and increase our supply chain resiliency. One of our most ambitious initiatives is a program called Supply Chain Cost Optimization driving Resilience and Edge (SCORE). SCORE is a transformational program that aims to improve our operations and competitiveness. It focuses on: Optimizing our manufacturing network for both reagents and instruments Improving how we manage our global supply chains and how we benefit from an improved cost position through operational excellence Enhancing supplier relationships to drive cost competitiveness, as well as product quality and reliability Establishing effective end-to-end SCM processes from sourcing to delivery to reduce produce scrap, centralize inventory management, and improve warehouse and shipping logistics In addition to supporting implementation of the existing SCORE program, this role will support the development of an overarching, cohesive supply chain strategy encompassing a number of other initiatives, including a Business Continuity assessment, Supply Chain Risk evaluation, Operating Model reviews, etc. This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Supply Chain Strategy Professional, you will be responsible for: Supporting the SCORE transformation at both the program and project management levels Driving the development of a comprehensive supply chain strategy that will guide future investment decisions Leveraging data-driven analyses to make recommendations on strategic options Establishing business cases for future investments, determining prioritization and ensuring alignment with global supply chain strategy and organization’s business goals Assessing risk at the global supply chain level and providing appropriate mitigations Generating comprehensive presentations for senior management Ensuring cross-functional collaboration and cooperation Assessing and securing budget and resources necessary to be successful Defining scope and magnitude of individual projects Developing and driving project plans Implementing necessary contingency and mitigation plans Communicating effectively to key stakeholders Ensuring compliance to standards, laws and regulations Ensuring appropriate program and project documentation is utilized and maintained This position may suit you best if you are familiar with what is below, and would like to develop your career with Healthineers: Navigating a highly matrixed organization Using data analytics to drive decision making Influencing without authority Driving positive results under tight deadlines without sacrificing quality Required skills, education, and experience that will enable you to succeed in this role: BS/BA in related discipline 10-15 years of experience that includes strategy development and/or managing complex, cross-site, cross-functional, international programs Ability to think strategically and execute tactically, taking abstract strategic concepts and transforming them into well-defined, achievable projects Demonstrated advanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures of SCM strategy and operations Demonstrated leadership, with strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills Negotiation and influence management skills Must be able to work independently, be self-motivating, and act as a change agent Proficiency with MS Project and MS Office (Work, Excel, PowerPoint) Sharp, well-honed business acumen Ability to travel internationally, if necessary Willing to travel up to 35%, if necessary and appropriate Preferred skills, education, and experience: Management consulting or crisis management experience a plus Prior experience working in a large, matrixed organization Experience working in a regulated / FDA environment MBA PM certification At Siemens Healthineers, we value those who dedicate their energy and passion to a greater cause. The pay range for this position is $ 131,920 - $181,390 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
