You will provide country-specific Supply Chain and Procurement functional leadership covering Sub -Sahara Africa by securing local governance, thought leadership, and opportunities for leveraging one Eaton in the local market – including leveraging scale and spend across sectors / businesses in associated SCM and Procurement programs. At a minimum, this will include having responsibility for regional indirect procurement, logistics, trade management & risk. In this role you will report directly to the Managing Director, Truck Business in South Africa, and be functionally aligned to the Dir SCM for Vehicle Group in EMEA. Job Responsibilities: Lead the delivery against Key Performance Indicators Collaborates, leverages and negotiates contracts and programs for defined local categories that fully satisfy stakeholder requirements, to reduce business risk, total cost of material & services, or eliminate inflationary pressures through validated cost avoidance actions. Recommend and implement measures to improve performance of the Indirect, Logistics & Trade Management projects Through a strong coalition with Truck Finance, manage the effective definition, validation & reporting of value for SCM and Procurement led initiatives to ensure recognition of contribution & specifically impact to the bottom line of business results, maintaining the records of savings projects within the Cost Out Database for locally deployed Lead performance management & coaching in personal / management development of local team, ensuring effective development plans, including SCM curriculum use and deployment Qualifications Requirements: Appropriate degree or experience in the field A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the aftermarket related to the automotive business Knowledge regarding medium and heavy duty transmission and clutches will be an advantage Systems knowledge MFGPro/ Oracle Microsoft Office Skills (Excel knowledge essential) Effective communication What Eaton offers: Inclusion & Diversity - Openness to diversity widens our access to the best talent.
