Eaton’s Electrical Sector is seeking a Supply Chain Supervisor. This position is based out of our Calgary, AB location. Must reside within an 80 km radius of the work location(s) listed on this posting. No relocation is being offered for this role. Position Overview: The Supply Chain Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the inventory balance while aligning with inventory turnover, management, and logistics of materials, including purchasing and inventory. Focus includes, but is not limited to, driving continuous improvements in productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations and procedures that ensure an uninterrupted supply of materials and services. Coordinates and resolves issues regarding existing and new products and implements corrective action as needed to provide an excellent standard of service. Essential Functions: Supervise shipping and receiving to ensure efficient flow of products to and from the plant. Collaborate with the Production and Engineering department to manage orders. Direct and coordinate work to meet order requirements. Hire, train, and mentor employees to support performance, training and growth. Provide coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures Manage inventory levels to meet financial goals. Materials resource planning and purchase of stock materials. Develop and implement appropriate continual process improvement and cost-saving ideas for operations. Assess the flow of goods and materials to ensure quality that aids in on-time delivery. Report inventory levels to Canadian and Satellite operations. Drive continuous improvement by applying best practices to increase the accuracy, efficiency and responsiveness of the supply chain, thereby ensuring an uninterrupted supply of materials and services. Act as a change agent, identifying areas of supply chain performance improvement that align with the company's strategic direction. Determine correct inventories sizing and implement standardized materials management processes to address surplus, distressed, aged, and excess stock. Work with suppliers for cost-effective solutions and shorten lead times. Enter and Maintain up-to-date information on all items in the Oracle system. Supports site on-time performance goals and quality objectives. Perform all job functions adhering to Eaton's Philosophy and Values and the Safety and Environmental standards. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution OR equivalent work experience. Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship. No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within 80 KM of Calgary, AB will be considered. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or a related field from an accredited institution. Three (3) years of experience supporting supply chain function, preferably in the electrical field, distribution, and/or manufacturing settings. Certified lean/six sigma green belt. (APICS) Association for Operations Management's Certified Production and (CPIM) Inventory Management program certification is an asset. Position Criteria: Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Effective time management and project management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with cross-functional teams ranging from IT, field sales, marketing, product line management, and senior leadership. Highly motivated, self-starting, enthusiastic, results-oriented team player. Strong MS Office skills; PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook. Why work at Eaton?
