Job Purpose/Overview

Manage Inbound Supply Chain Planning for Finished goods coming from our factory in France. This includes sharing market forecast with the factory, placing purchase orders, monitoring the market inventory levels as per the targets and managing the copacking operation with the warehouse. 

 

Key Responsibilities
Inbound Supply Planning: Manage the supply of inbound Finished Goods from the RC Factory in France to Canada. This includes managing market demand requirements in FuturMaster (Planning tool) and placing and monitoring Purchase Orders in ERP.


Imports Management: Working with Regulatory team on smooth clearance of products via land, sea and air. 


Copack Planning: Monitoring the copack planning process with the local 3PL. This includes inventory reconciliation of parent and child codes, projecting ATP (Available to Promise) dates and maintaining a forward looking view on availability of child codes


Inventory Modeling, Management & Reporting: Work on maintaining the ideal stock levels for each SKU and measure inventory health and get direction on inventory modeling from Line Manager.


ERP & WMS End User: Perform the end user role for Inbound Process in the ERP & WMS system. This would include processing inbound transactions, running reports to provide inventory visibility, troubleshooting & escalating system issues to functional experts and identifying process improvement opportunities. 


Identification of Transactional & Non-Value Added Work: Provide input to the Supply Chain Leadership team on the amount of transactional and non-value added work involved in the role to drive efficiency initiatives.
Reporting & KPIs: Accountable for KPIs such as Casefill, Mix Quality & Order Phasing (monitoring only).  


Other: Adhere to applicable Quality and Food Safety Policies and Quality Management System requirements to ensure compliance to MARS standards. Demonstrate a quality culture in actions, words and spirit. Other duties as assigned.

 

Context and Scope

This role is a key player in the following business processes:
•    QMP: Report on Imported Casefill in the periodic QMSR Dashboard. Participate in process mapping and audits to ensure that all imported products comply with Mars QMP 3.0 standards. Followup on open PRIMPs that involve inbound product compliance.
•    S&OE (0-12 Weeks Process): Play an active and collaborative role in the short term process by participating in the Weekly LMOS & RMOS meetings and working with Demand Planning and CPFR teams to root-cause and resolve issues impacting service. 
 

Education & Professional Qualifications

•    Bachelors Degree
•    Inventory Management certification such as APICS CPIM is preferable
 

Knowledge & Experience

•    2+ years of supply chain experience, including a minimum of 3 years’ experience in inventory management role
•    FMCG experience is preferable
•    System functional capability and experience.
•    Activity/Project Management Experience
•    Experience in improving process efficiency and CI work.
