The Role
We are seeking a Support Analyst for our Pershing Production Services team, and specifically our Configuration Management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination
- Complete standard service request and resolve end-user related incidents.
- Monitor systems and providing tier 2 support for the infrastructure.
- Troubleshoots highly complex telecommunications hardware and software problems.
- Collaborates with other Service Managers to ensure consistency of delivery, adherence to Best Practices, and continuous improvement
- Participate in on-call support
- Assist the Service Operation Manager in all daily operational tasks
- Provides release coordination and communication during and after deployment
- Consults with business users, administrators, and engineers to identify business and technical requirements for proposed system modifications.
- Evaluates services/products as possible solutions for future requirements or as a replacement/upgrade to existing network. Develops and leads implementation of telecommunications disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity. Contributes to the achievement of area objectives
Responsible for supporting senior analysts and process leads in development, implementation, mentoring of, and maintenance of ITSM processes, training, requirements management, and testing .Assists process leads and senior analysts with activities required to develop, implement and maintain processes and tools. Under direction of management, produces ad-hoc and scheduled reports, drafts process flows, user stories, develops test scripts, conduct testing, participates in migrations, and updates relevant documentation. Escalates issues to process leads and senior analysts. Identifies areas for improvement in the process and supporting technology. Under direction of management provides early-live support when the process and/or supporting technology changes are introduced. Continously improves ITSM process and tools knowledge.Contributes to the achievement of organizational objectives and assists with implementation of processes and tools and execution of relevant activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience 3+ years of experience in IT; 1+ years in IT Service Management role required; experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
- Mainframe Experience (TSO, CICS and GENS)
- Knowledge of ROPES would be a plus but not required.
- Customer Service experience a plus but not required.
- Data Entry
- Knowledge of Excel/Microsoft Word
- Communicates Well - (written and verbally)
- Networking /Hosting knowledge would be a plus but not required
