As a Support Engineer in our Modern Workplace Division you will provide technical support regarding System Center to enterprise customers, partners, internal staff and/or others on mission critical issues experienced with Microsoft technologies, including Networking, Directory Services and troubleshooting in the database.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Provide quality support and reliable technical solutions for Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager with a high degree of customer satisfaction
  • Represent Microsoft and communicate with corporate customers via phone or email service in order to find the best solution for technically complex problems
  • Efficiently managing the relationship with our customers and thoroughly documenting their cases
  • Collaborate on cross-team and cross-product technical issues by working with resources from other groups as needed to resolve customer issues
  • Participate in case triage meetings to share knowledge with other engineers and develop efficient customer solutions
  • Consistently share best practices with team members and act as technical resource for more junior engineers

 

Qualifications

 

Qualifications  

  • Excellent demonstrated customer service skills and customer focused attitude
  • Two or more years’ experience in systems development, network operations, software support or I.T. consulting
  • Strong knowledge about Microsoft® System Center and Microsoft® Windows OS.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, includes troubleshooting, problem analysis and resolution
  • Genuine passion for technology and desire and aptitude to increase technical skill level required
  • Good communication skills - spoken and written English (including technical writing)

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two or more years industry experience with Microsoft Server products
  • MCSE + I/MCSD/MCDBA certifications are a plus
  • Programming experience in C or C++
  • Additional Technology Certifications - Linux, Cisco, Unix, Dell, etc.
  • Education B.S. degree in C.S. or E.E. or equivalent
