We’re seeking a creative and highly skilled Surface Designer / Illustrator to develop original artwork for dinnerware, accessories, glassware, and other home product categories. If you have strong artistic talent, expert digital skills, and a passion for trend-driven design, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do
• Create original surface designs for dinnerware, glassware, accessories, and other products within our home categories.
• Collaborate closely and report directly to the Design Director and SVP of Creative.
• Produce artwork that aligns with brand direction, trend insights, and seasonal themes.

What We’re Looking For
• Los Angeles–based candidate able to work on-site Monday–Friday.
• Bachelor’s degree in Illustration, Fine Arts, or equivalent professional experience.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop in a Mac-based environment.
• Exceptional artistic ability, including strong drawing and painting skills.
• 5+ years of surface design experience, including traditional and computer generated artwork.
• Strong understanding of color, trends, fashion, and design aesthetics.
• Ability to design 3D products is a plus (not required).
• Portfolio required—online preferred or PDF samples.

Artistic Skills

Strong illustration and drawing abilities (hand-drawn and digital)
Excellent sense of color, composition, and pattern design
Ability to create repeat patterns and surface designs for various products
Knowledge of trend forecasting and market aesthetics
Creativity and originality in developing unique artwork and concepts
Ability to adapt design styles to match brand identity and customer needs
Attention to detail and consistency across multiple designs


Computer / Software Skills

Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including:

Adobe Illustrator (vector design, pattern creation)
Adobe Photoshop (editing, texture, color correction)
Adobe InDesign (layouts and presentations, if needed)

Experience with pattern repeat software techniques
Familiarity with file preparation for production (print-ready files, color separation, etc.)
Ability to manage digital assets and follow organized file structures

Preferred / Additional Skills
Experience designing for textiles, home goods, fashion, or consumer products
