We are presently recruiting for a full-time Surgical Specialist – Plastic Surgery & Regenerative Medicine, to join the Medical Aesthetics Business Unit, covering the Eastern Ontario territory (Toronto to Ottawa) reporting to National Sales Director – Plastic Surgery and Regenerative Medicine. This is a Toronto based Position. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing assigned customers, providing exceptional service, strategic solutions to drive business, develop new customers and expand usage across all product categories for existing customers. Provide insights and solutions in identified key hospital and private clinic accounts to grow their entire portfolio business. The incumbent will be responsible for calling on Customers including and not limited to, Plastic Surgeons, General Surgeons, O.R. Managers, Nurse Educators, Resource Nurses, Materials Managers, Inventory Coordinators and Purchasing Administrators in the hospital environment and Plastic Surgeons, Clinic Managers, O.R. Nurses, Patient Care Coordinators as well as other clinic staff in the private clinic environment. Job Responsibilities: Exceptional delivery of customized value messaging for all products to all health care decision makers and influencers Conduct specialized product in-servicing to all customers and implement product evaluations that lead to customer conversions Effectively utilize clinical materials and selling tools in customer interactions to increase sales Maintain exceptional and expert product knowledge of Allergan’s portfolio of products and that of our competitors Ensure that all clinics and hospitals have Natrelle®, Keller Funnel®, AlloDerm® and Revolve™ Patient materials as well as samples to help clinics provide information to their patients Develop and maintain KOL relationships in the territory Develop and maintain strong and trusting relationships with all key customers and their teams in the territory to secure existing business and grow new accounts Grow existing business, uncover unmet customer needs and develop new business opportunities Effectively communicate territory market dynamics with colleagues, marketing and management Analyze sales and market share reports to identify issues and opportunities in an effort to maximize growth Allocate time and resources accordingly based on opportunity to achieve and exceed sales targets Manage administrative responsibilities effectively and in a timely manner Maintain appropriate customer records at all times Control expenses and receipts: plan travel, entertainment, and general expenses to achieve organizational goals while adhering to Allergan’s corporate expense guideline Effective and efficient consignment management ensuring completion of counts in accordance to company and product guidelines while ensuring the consignments reflect the needs of the customer Active participation in all RFP Submissions pertaining to the territory Conference attendance and support as required Qualifications Qualifications: University Degree or an MBA with 5+ years sales experience in hospital and surgical settings demonstrating continued success Medical Device Sales with Surgical O.R. Experience Able and willing to travel up to 35% of the time in the geographic region. Overnight travel as required Experience with Plastic and General Surgeons is preferred Skills and Experiences: Previous Medical Device sales experience with demonstrated success in a technical and scientific selling environment. Experience with a consultative selling approach with multiple stakeholders in both long and short sales cycles Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to vary style based on different customer styles Strong team approach and ability to work with all internal and external customers and partners Exceptional customer service skills Strong work ethic and operates with a sense of urgency as well as being solution orientated Strong ability to understand scientific and clinical data as well as effectively communicate this information to customers. Ability to modify relevant information based on customer type Maintain a high level of professionalism within the hospitals, operating room and clinics, respecting protocols, safety and confidentiality Formulate strategies, tactics and action plans to achieve goals Plan, organize, and complete assigned tasks in an efficient and timely manner Ability to advocate for and articulate needs of territory and customers while providing a clear ROI Technical computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Fluent in English both orally and in writing. Being bilingual in both English and French will be an asset.
