POSITION DESCRIPTION
Job Purpose The job purpose of MYP Performing Arts teachers is to help students develop a
comprehensive understanding of Performing Arts.
Job Duties
Major roles include, but are not limited to, the following:
➢ Teach MYP Performing Arts subjects (Music/Drama etc.), design and
implement personalized teaching plans to meet the specific needs of
students.
➢ Develop assessment tasks and evaluate student work using MYP criteria.
➢ Continuously update teaching techniques and methods to improve teaching
quality and effectiveness.
➢ Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement interdisciplinary units of
work.
➢ Provide timely feedback to students and parents to support student progress.
➢ Contribute to the development of the MYP program at the school.
➢ Actively participate in various school activities, such as school professional
development trainings, teacher seminars, parent meetings, admission
activities etc.
➢ Collaborate with colleagues within Performing Arts Department and other
departments.
➢ Follow government and school policies and regulations.

Requirements

Qualifications
➢ Bachelor's degree in Performing Arts, Music Education, Drama, Dance, or a
related field
➢ MYP Performing Arts teaching experience or other IB teaching experience
➢ Strong understanding of the MYP curriculum framework and assessment
criteria
➢ Commitment to education
➢ Care, patience, optimism and perseverance working with students
➢ Appropriate personal literacy
➢ Familiarity with computer programs – Word, Excel, email etc.to support
school communications and classroom practice
➢ Being a positive member in the team

➢ Salary of 25-36k per month based on qualifications and experience
