Suzhou Industrial Park Foreign Language School (SIFPLS) is hiring kindergarten teachers to teach EFL classes with grades Pre-K to K3. SIPFLS is an international school located in beautiful Suzhou, China, located about 30 minutes away from Shanghai. We are looking for teachers with the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree
• Native English speaker (US/Canada/UK/Ireland/Australia/New Zealand/South Africa).
• A minimum of two years postgraduate teaching experience.
• PGCE/CELTA/DELTA/State certification (US) preferred.
• A clear national criminal background check.
• A health check prior to arriving in China.
Job duties include:

• Teaching a diverse range of students with a focus on student-centric teaching methodologies.
• Weekly lesson planning.
• Designing and planning a curriculum for the teaching semester.
• Working alongside Chinese counterparts in the classroom to help our students learn and grow in an international teaching environment.
• Lead the class from 8.30am – 11.10am and again from 14.30pm – 16.10pm each day. Activities will include a daily English lesson along with weekly art, music, sport, STEM, reading, games and role-play lessons.
• During scheduled activates speak English with the students. When not teaching continue to interact with students and encourage them to speak in English.
• Take part in extra activities from time to time, this can require extra hours to be worked, e.g. Christmas party, Halloween, Easter, Chinese new year, graduation, parent teacher meetings, field trips, etc. ESL teachers will be told of these events in advance.
• At any time ESL teachers can ask for support or help from teaching assistants, however it is also expected for ESL teachers to also support their teaching assistants during scheduled hours.
• Along with teaching assistants, ESL teachers share a responsibility for the student’s safety throughout the day, along with their learning and progression.
