Job Purpose:

Plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as architecture and development for Audio product.

Job Responsibility:

• Develop system-level architecture in accordance with Marketing and industrial design requirements.

• Engage with customers to influence customer staff at various levels to turn the decision in favor of the technical solution that Flex proposing.

• Capture and device development of services and solutions based on market needs, leveraging own and cross competence domains. Feedback market insights on customer needs, market development and competitive situation to applicable business units for developing the offerings and value propositions.

• Define customer solution during quote phase and monitor the technical implementation during project execution.

• Define system partitioning and interfaces according to platform and major component I/O requirements; develop architecture alternatives and evaluate according to interests of cost, performance and feature set.

• Evaluate 3rd party design service capabilities and provide recommendation for vendor selection.

• Support scoping and planning of customer specific projects in collaboration with customer units, account teams and operations.

• Drive teardown analysis of competing products and produce summary reports for Marketing, Business Development and Engineering teams.

• Help guide future technical direction and vision.

• Verify stability, interoperability, portability, security, or scalability of system architecture.

Job Qualification: 

BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Systems or Mechanical Engineering, or Physical Sciences. 

Typically requires >10 years of experience in analyzing product usability, evaluating related design alternatives and determining best-case implementations in product design. 

Ability to create new platforms that incorporate power management, wireless protocols (BT, Wi-Fi, NFC, etc.), DSP, and sensors. 

Extensive experience of designing and delivering smart speakers, headsets, and sound bars to well-known high-end market brands. 

Deep working knowledge of audio technologies, echo and noise cancellation, beam forming, microphone arrays, transducers, and amplifiers. 

Electrical analog/digital/system hardware design fundamentals, specifically SoC and MCU based systems. 

Experience with inter-device communication protocols such as USB, Ethernet, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, I2C, I2S, TDM, SPI, MIPI. 

Experience with audio, DSP, and wireless systems. 

Experience in architecting and implementing firmware for embedded devices.
