The Sydney Metro Western Sydney Airport Project will be connecting residential areas with job hubs, running from St Mary’s to the new airport and the Western Sydney Aerotropolis, including connecting travellers to the public transport system. If you are excited about working as System Assurance Manager for us in our Sydney office, we are willing to make that happen. Change the future with us. As a System Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for: You are responsible to lead the project specific Safety Assurance from the overall System perspective process together with the safety teams (signaling, power supply, rolling stock etc.), and the interfaces to Independent Safety Assessors, international consultants acting as employer’s representative and the employer. You define, perform and supervise the process in accordance with the company policy as well as mandatory requirements, regulations and international standards (e. g. EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129, EN 61508). You are responsible for the preparation of project-specific System Safety Documentation including System Safety Case as well as Safety concepts, plans and processes. You are responsible to coordinate and implement the hazard mitigation process, prepare and maintain the hazard log and manage the hazard close-out process as well as the activities to perform the functional proof of safety. You are involved in system integration tests and trial runs to prepare and perform the RAMS demonstration activities, and in the authority safety approval process related to get authority’s permit to operate. Use your skills to move the world forward You have an engineering degree in electrical/ traffic engineering with the focus on RAMS management, or comparable technical based apprenticeship. In addition, you have many years of professional experience in applied system safety including large engineering projects in the railway industry. You have already been able to acquire in-depth knowledge of system RAMS analysis techniques, engineering processes and standards including EN 50126. You have profound experience in the preparation of system safety cases as well as in functional safety process for safety related HW/SW (E/E/PE) with SIL>0 You also gained experience in technical team leadership. You have profound experience in the authority approval process for mainline, metro and/or tram in international projects as well as in the cooperation with independent assessment bodies and Railway Safety Authorities.
