Our Siemens Commercial Vehicles Business Unit is looking for a System Engineer affiliated with our Alpharetta, GA, office - you will have the ability to work a Flexible Remote Work Schedule. The Commercial Vehicle portfolio of solutions includes AC drives, permanent magnet Motors, auxiliary inverters, distribution panel/boxes, high voltage and low voltage wiring systems. Position Overview: Our vision for the System Engineer is one where design documents and requirements provided by the customer are then implemented to the production floor in a timely and organized fashion. In this role you will be responsible for leading the technical requirements of Siemens ELFA propulsion drive systems in Battery and Fuel Cell Bus & Truck applications, from the customer requirements to production floor output. Successful candidate will have experience reviewing customer specifications, working with suppliers and manufacturing to deliver finished product according to those specifications. Automotive experience is a plus. Responsibilities: Survey and investigate the requirements on the technical system, made from various aspects, including customer and internal standards. Process the requirements: analysis, structuring and documentation in transparent form, including corresponding sources and collaborators. Manage the requirements and maintains the documentation (requirements management). Verify the requirements under formal aspects regarding completeness and unambiguous. Check the content of requirements regarding comprehensibility, consistency, cross references, dependencies and later checkability (acceptance criteria). May evaluate the requirements based on broad experience regarding their feasibility or contained technical risks. Support the verification of the requirement fulfillment in the execution phase in cooperation with quality management. Requirements: BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or advanced degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
