Micron’s global footprint is designed to deliver comprehensive customer collaboration, support and quality around the world and throughout the product lifecycle. Taiwan plays a meaningful role in strengthening Micron’s position in leading-edge DRAM.

Micron’s Taiwan sites include sales and technical support in Taipei along with state-of-the-art fabrication facilities in Taichung and Taoyuan that together comprise the company’s DRAM Center of Perfection. The Center’s goal is to achieve the most efficient and effective technology transfer and manufacturing ramp by combining front- and back-end manufacturing, product engineering and technology development roles.

Responsibilities:

• Involved in the provisioning, support and maintenance of site Hadoop cluster for streaming and analytic solutions.
• Perform Hadoop cluster software/hardware upgrade
• Performance tuning for optimal ingest pipeline
• System monitoring
• Involved in incident and problem management process for solutions related to Manufacturing platform (Hadoop, Kafka and Nifi Cluster)
• Manage data pipeline and analytic jobs release to production.
• Ability to assess current IT environments and make recommendations to increase capacity needs.
• Communicate, collaborate and coordinate on Manufacturing related activities to various level of partners and worldwide site Manufacturing support team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics/Computer/Software Engineering, Information Systems or related fields.
• Programming languages like Java, Javascript, bash and Python.
• Knowledge in Linux operation systems
• For those with good understanding and hands-on experience in the following areas will be advantageous.
• Hadoop based technologies such as HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, MongoDB, HBase, Spark, Kafka etc.
• Data warehousing solutions and latest (NoSQL) database technologies.
• Big Data visualization and reporting software like Tableau.
• Effective oral and written communication with strong analytical, problem solving, multitasking and project management skills are essential on the job.
