About Role:

As part of the HPC server team, this electrical engineer is expect to work
with peer functions as a team to development the leading edge Lenovo high
performance computer offerings. The system power engineer will be working as
part of the server development team to design and development the leading edge
Lenovo server offering for high performance computing.

Responsibility:

• The system power engineer is responsible for designing, developing,
modifying, evaluating electronic components, circuits, firmware, and software
for electronic equipment. Analyzes equipment to establish operating data,
conducts experimental tests and evaluates results.

• Selects components and equipment based on analysis specifications and
reliability. Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to complex business
issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert.

• Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods.

• Works on complex problems/projects where analysis of situations or data
requires in depth evaluation of multiple factors.

• Exercises significant independent judgement within broadly defined policies
and practices to determine best method of accomplishing tasks and achieving
objectives.

• Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may
participate in cross functional initiatives.

• May provide mentoring and guidance to peers and juniors.

• Acts as subject matter expert in providing direction and guidance to process
improvements and policy matters.

• Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients.

• Designs, analyzes, develops, modifies and evaluates electrical/electronic
parts, components, sub-systems, algorithms, or integrated circuitry for
electrical/electronic equipment and other hardware systems.

• Conducts feasibility studies, design margin and validation analyses and
empirical testing on new and modified designs.

• Assists in architecture development and assessment. Evaluates reliability of
materials, properties, designs, and techniques used in production.

• May directly support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design
testing and prototype fabrication.

#### Position Requirements:


• Bachelor's or Master's degree preferable in Electrical Engineering

• Minimum 8 years system development experience, 5+ years of experience in
lead role for power solutions design, development, product engineering, or
quality Control Role.

• Familiar electrical design tools and software packages. Cadence Allegro,
VRTT Test tool, SIMPLIS simulation preferred.

• Familiar Intel VR designs. Familiar with AMD VR designs.

• Solid Server architecture knowledge, blade or multi-node dense server
experience is a plus.

• Experience in overall architecture of electronic hardware for products and
solutions.

• Rich DC-DC converter technology design and development experience

• Knowledge of analog and digital controllers and circuits

• Knowledge of Semiconductor devices and processes, Magnetics, Passive
components

• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

• Ability to development technical analysis with a good understanding for
business impact of technical decisions

• Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals
and negotiate options with peers and management in both Mandarin and English.
