Come join the Ethernet Products Group, EPG, within Intel's Network and Edge Group, NEX. NEX drives technologies and product leadership throughout the network to the intelligent edge. The EPG Software Open Source Drivers and Technologies team is seeking experienced System Simulation Engineers to join an established team working on simulation with our Simics modeling platform. This is an exciting pre-silicon environment aimed at improving Shift-Left by enabling drivers, tools, and firmware teams to implement and test on simulated hardware models long before actual hardware is available.

In this role you'll be at the forefront of Intel's Ethernet architecture. Your daily agenda will be anything but ordinary. You will be:

• Analyzing and understanding early Ethernet controller hardware specifications

• Developing IP functional and behavioral models based on these specifications

• Working in close collaboration with the groups that are responsible for designing the actual controller hardware, firmware, and software Integrating these IP models with Intel server virtual platforms

Qualifications

Candidate must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork, classes, research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and it will be compensated accordingly.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must have Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Engineering, Computer Engineering. Computer Science, Information Technology, Math, Physics, or related field.

6+ months of experience in:

• Programming languages such as: C, C++, Python

• Operating systems including Linux or Unix

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in any of the following areas:

• Firmware

• Software modeling and/or simulation concepts

• Network software stacks and/or kernel level development

• Software configuration management concepts tools source repositories build environments bug tracking and project tracking
