The System Simulation and Modeling (SSM) team is part of Intel's Software and Advanced Technology (SATG) group. We are transforming the way our product firmware and software are developed, integrated, and tested in a modern cloud computing environment. We build high-performance system simulators that serve as the product of our future. Great simulators result in leadership products by simulating our architecture and software before committing to our product execution. We are looking for strong software engineers ready to engage in large-scale software development, automation, and cloud projects.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Software development and automation, driving initiatives and projects from design through implementation and deployment, system debug and support.
• Exercising judgment and discretion to develop solutions, remove obstacles and redefine approaches.
• Assess risks and identify efficient approaches to deliver high quality solutions in timely manner.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelors, Master's, or a Ph. D. in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering or related engineering field or students who are 6 months or less from graduation date will be considered.
• Intermediate to Advanced English level
• Candidate must have unrestricted permanent right to work in Costa Rica

Preferred Qualifications:
One or more of the following skills is highly desired

• Knowledge on large scale data center product architecture
• Experience developing in a Continuous Integration workflow with tools such as Git and Jenkins
• Ability to understand and dive into system software debug including firmware, driver, or OS.
• Knowledge in product architecture's datasheets is a plus
• Knowledge in Datacenter architecture and cloud technologies is a plus

Work Model for this Role

This role is available as fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
