Architects end-to-end system software for a specific technology, product/platform, or market segment, including software structure and bounding box, firmware, drivers, frameworks, cross component, interfaces/interactions/interoperability, protocols, algorithms, and applications. Responsible for pathfinding and providing the technical direction for software or hardware development and validation, including modeling and performance. Engages with customers on technical requirements/discussions and interacts with technologists across Intel and within the industry to evaluate feasibility of requirements and determine priorities for development.

Works on the definition and development of new hardware, software, and platform architectures to enable a broadly scalable ecosystem. Collaborates with industry partners and standards bodies to define the needed standards and specifications. Works in the software ecosystem and open source community to create the needed software support.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

Deep understanding and experience building system architectures including work across the hardware / software boundary.

Experience working in the system software stack across operating system, kernel, libraries, toolchains, etc.

BS/MS in Electrical / Computer Engineering

Minimum 15 years experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in open source projects and communities.
