Drives software quality from concept to delivery via specific KPIs and quality targets. Works with product development teams throughout development phases to ensure software quality requirements and goals are established and met to determine release readiness and risks. Analyzes product quality data and drives improvements through defect prediction models, requirements traceability, and SWLC optimizations. Improves customer experience with critical issue management, throughput time, root cause analysis, and software practices assessments. May work directly with customers to understand requirements upfront, pain points during development and delivery, and drive execution improvements through Intel's development life cycle. May create tools and automation to support quality evaluation and data analytics (e.g., SWLC, Defects, uQRC vectors), perform outofbox testing for software products to recreate customer experiences and pain points, and assess the state of the art to employ new methods to improve quality and product release efficiency.
Some of the responsibilities for this role may include, but not limited to:
• Working with product development teams throughout the product development life cycle to ensure software quality requirements and goals are established and met.
• Providing input into program deliverables/milestones regarding quality (resources, schedule, goals etc.).
• Assessing the quality of Intel’s products and providing quality metrics and data to teams to make risk based product release decisions.
• Driving effective software practices to ensure project work products comply with applicable standards requirements.
• Authoring detailed software quality requirements to meet Intel quality standards.
• Developing solutions to increase automation and efficiency of our processes.
• Training the team on quality engineering practices.
• Driving actions from previous post-project reviews to closure as part of the Product development team (PDT, PSXT), including process/work product audits.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
- The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree on a STEM field and 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering -OR
- Master's degree on a STEM field and 3+ years of experience in Software Engineering -OR
- PhD on a STEM field and 1+ year of relevant experience in Software Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of Software development life cycle, legal and security processes.
- Strong skills in SharePoint and other website development.
- Strong data visualization and presentation skills.
- Understanding of quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001) and process models such as CMMI or ASPICE.
