The shortlisted candidate will be seconded to government department to perform system design, implementation, enhancement and production support

Job Duties:

• To design, build and test the production, development, testing and disaster recovery environment within the new computing platform
• To deploy new applications and migrate existing applications to the new computing platform
• To enhance and support the existing computing infrastructure adopting virtualization technology
• To maintain the health and security status of hardware and software, and manage data protection of the applications
• To manage the anti-virus software and control the deployment of the latest software updates and virus definitions
• To administer the Active Directory architecture running on Windows Server platform
• To carry out quality control, quality assurance and project management duties as designated by the project manager
• To follow-up recommendations provided by Security Risk Assessment and Audit (SRAA) contractor
  
  

Job Requirements:

• Higher Diploma or above in IT or equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience in IT of which minimum 3 years relevant experience
• Technical knowledge and solid working experience in the management of servers, physical tape libraries, virtual tape libraries and uninterruptible power supplies from various brands and models
• Technical knowledge and solid working experience in Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization environment, Microsoft Security Compliance Manager and Windows Server Update Services
• Technical knowledge and solid working experience in VMware virtualization environment including proficiency in VMware vCenter 6 or above, VMware vSphere 6 or above, VMware vSAN 6 or above and VMware vRealize Suite 2017 or above
• Technical knowledge and solid working experience in Windows Server 2008 / 2008 R2, 2012 / 2012 R2, 2016 and knowledge in Windows Server 2019
• Solid working experience in Microsoft Active Directory administration in Windows Server 2012 / 2012 R2 / 2016 / 2019 domain levels, especially in Group Policy Management
• Solid working experience in Microsoft SQL Server administration in Windows Server 2012 / 2012 R2 / 2016 / 2019
• Solid working experience in server management through the use of Microsoft System Center 2012 / 2012 R2 / 2016, with hands-on technical skills on System Center Configuration Manager, System Center Operations Manager and System Center Virtual Machine Manager
• Solid working experience in server management through the use of Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) and Windows Certificate Authority
• Knowledge and solid working experience in conducting system analysis and design, systems programming and software testing
• Experience in feasibility / technical studies and team leading / supervision
• Good problem-solving and interpersonal skills
