The System Trace Team, part of Intel System Debugger, is looking for a new member to design and develop new features and support in the tool for upcoming platform designs and new debug methodologies.
In the System Trace team we develop debug and diagnostics tools for low level system integration scenarios such as BIOS/firmware development, silicon debug and OS/driver development.
One of the core functionalities of System Trace is to analyze traces (log messages) captured from Intel platforms through the Intel(R) Trace Hub device. Our GUI is based on the Eclipse IDE and written in Java. Our backend is mainly written in C++ with a smaller sub-set being written in Python.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- Ongoing studies in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or other related fields
- Experience with software development and testing in C++, Python, or Java
- Basic understanding of computer architecture and operating systems
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English

Please note that the student needs to be enrolled for the full duration of the student employment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with JTAG based tools and embedded systems
- Experience with all aspects of contributing to a large software project (e.g., version control, peer reviews, continuous integration) on Windows and Linux

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
