As a member of our kernel software team you will have opportunities to grow your career by developing software through all levels of the Android stack, including firmware, device drivers, HAL, and framework. In this role, you will be responsible for low level hardware bring up and validation, interfacing with the HW design team, triage and analysis of field issues involving hardware behavior. You will work closely with SMEs in collaboration with our external partner organizations to ensure effective and timely development and low level integration of new functionality and experiences in our flagship device organization. #### Position Requirements: Candidates must have demonstrated ability to understand low level HW/SW interactions, read HW schematics and SW code, system block diagrams, power and clock distribution trees, write low level SW code to drive hardware components in embedded system-on-chip designs. Candidates must be familiar with common tools involved with HW and SW workflows. BS degree in CS or EE fields is required, with 5+ years of relevant experience involving both HW and SW aspects. Double CS/EE degree is preferred. Strong background in USB Type C operation, involving Power Delivery protocol and charging, is preferred.
