Job Description

Intel Datacenter Processor Architecture team is looking for a highly qualified candidate to join our Server Security Architecture team. Our architects are involved through the full product development cycle from new feature concept, feasibility assessment and planning, execution, and post-product support. In this role responsibilities include although not limited to:

  • Secure design, development and operation of Intel's hardware and software products and services.
  • Threat assessment.
  • Design of security components and vulnerability assessment.
  • Ensures products conform to standards and specifications.
  • Develops plans and cost estimates.
  • Assesses projects to analyze risks.
  • Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur.
  • Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education, judgment, and formal process.
  • Maintains substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art security principles, theories, and attacks and contributes to literate and conferences.
  • May participate in development of intellectual property.
  • Requires thorough knowledge of security practices, procedures, and capabilities in order to perform non-repetitive, analytical work.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.

Minimum Qualifications:
You must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field and 2 years' experience; OR a Masters Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field and 1 year of experience; OR a PhD and experience in the following:

  • SoC security and/or security microarchitecture/validation and/or CPU/HW architecture.

  • Designing and/or implementing secure systems, including activities such as threat modeling, security architecture, protocol design.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of x86 ISA.

  • Knowledge of Intel Server CPUs and SoCs.

  • 2+ years leading and/or influencing silicon design teams, peers and managers.

  • Hardware security background.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
