Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointees shall mainly be responsible for the following: 

• designing, developing, testing and deploying new systems;
• administering, maintaining and enhancing existing systems;
• enhancing multimedia components and implementing interactive activities/ components for courses;
• supervising web designers and coordinating multimedia courseware production;
• providing technical support to end users; and
• undertaking other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Educational Technology and Development Unit and his/her nominees.         

Requirements 

Applicants are expected to possess the following qualifications, experience and attributes: 

(For post 1)

• a recognized bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline;
• at least 2 years’ post-qualification experience in programming and web systems design;
• solid experience in web application development with Lotus Script, Node.js, PHP, JSP/Servlet and EJB;
• in-depth knowledge of markup languages and scripting languages such as Javascript, JQuery, CSS3, HTML5 and JSON;
• hands-on experience in mobile application development using Appcelerator Titanium, Objective-C, Unity and Drupal; and
• a good command of English.              

(For post 2)

• a recognized bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline;

• at least 2 years’ post-qualification experience in programming and web-application design;
• solid experience in web application development with JSP/Servlet, EJB and PHP;
• in-depth knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript;
• hands-on experience in front-end library like JQuery and Bootstrap;
• knowledge in constraint satisfaction solver (e.g., OptaPlanner) and Drools rule engine is an advantage; and
• a good command of English.

Candidates may be invited to attend a written test. 

Compensation Package 

Competitive compensation package including basic salary, end-of-contract gratuity and discretionary incentive (if any) will be offered to the right candidates.
