Principal Accountabilities:

• Provide engineering support to the Key accounts. As well as developing design improvements, quality improvement, cost reduction, enhanced functionality, engineering change and providing support to production on day to day issues.

• Strong problem solving ability with a controls and electrical bias.
• Ability to plan and estimate duration of their work in the context of larger projects
• Ability to perform engineering calculations and basic FEA in support of the design.

• Understanding of piping and instrumentation diagrams and system schematics
• Hands on ability to build test-rigs and develop testing plans
• Used to working in a multidisciplinary environment
• Attention to detail and right first time approach
• Understand key project deliverable and requirements and have the ability to report concisely to the project leader

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Good Electrical/Electronic or Mechatronics biased Engineering degree, other engineering qualifications depending on experience.
• At least 5 years' experience within a multidisciplinary engineering environment. System Engineering with an electrical/electronic bias is preferred.

-CAD - Catia for 3D modelling and an element of design drafting would be very useful

• AutoCAD Electrical experience preferable

• Experience of working on a system or equipment design / development environment preferred

• Experience of FMEA, HAZOP, DFMEA and other design and risk analysis techniques
• Experience in the type testing of equipment in support of design.
• Value engineering
• Knowledge of appropriate EN/UL standards, Machinery Directive & Low voltage directive.

• Good written and oral communication
