At Siemens Mobility Engineering in the Czech Republic, we develop modern rolling stock in collaboration with our colleagues from abroad. We focus both on the overall layout as well as on designing sub-systems and cross-sectional characteristics. We create innovative products in the urban- (Avenio trams, Inspiro metro, etc.) and rail-transport (regional units, high-speed units) areas. Your new role: Compilation of specifications/ definitions of functional requirements for drive components, more precisely bogie/ drive system interface Using multi-body and dynamic simulations will help you with bogie and drive system optimalizations from the whole system perspective Collaboration with experts across departments will bring a definition of relevant bogie/ drive system interfaces Planning of relevant bogie and drive system type tests, including cooperation with approval authorities and support by Vehicle Type Approval Defining of test specification and support during a testing process Schedule work planning considering deadlines and costs incl. controlling of a particular budget by assigned tasks Reporting and results presentations towards project leaders and Engineering Your profile: Multi-body and dynamic simulations experience (Simpack, Adams) combined with a system Engineering/ systems theory Basic programming skills (C/ C++ etc.), knowledge of Matlab Fluent in English, or German Basics of project management (planning of assigned tasks considering costs and deadlines) Technical experience with subsystems interactions in rolling stock (bogies) preferred What you get by joining us, among other things: The possibility to co-design the most up-to-date vehicles for the whole world – our work is not created to be hidden away We support education in various areas, for example in the form of our “Rail Academy" or in the framework of our talent or expert programmes A joining bonus of CZK 50,000 Up to 33 days of paid leave Organise your working hours to suit you (you should always be at your desk between 10 am and 2 pm) The possibility to work from home for a better work-life balance A personal annual budget of CZK 24,000 or 48,000 (depending on seniority), which can be used for various leisure activities in our cafeteria And that's not all.
